Fed by several fast flowing burns, Loch an Eilein is a classic small highland loch in The Cairngorms. The Loch itslef was like a millpond, but my eye was drawn to the energy of the water flowing into it. The branch in the picture had been carried downstream and stuck near the entrance to the Loch, providing a nice visual counterpoint to the swirl and flow of the burn.
