Wheeldale Moor is easy to reach from a good road heading across the North York Moors from Pickering. Most walkers begin at the Roman Road that leads out across Wheeldale Moor, but it is worth turning South down a steep track which is part of the famous Lyke Wake Walk. This leads into a valley and down to this picturesque set of stepping stones across Wheeldale Beck.
